I already have places to write things down. But AI — the tooling, the hype, the genuinely useful bits buried under the hype — has been eating enough of my brain cycles that it deserves its own corner.
What This Is
AImusing Thoughts is where I’ll be posting:
- Observations & opinions on the AI landscape — what’s working, what’s theater, and what’s worth paying attention to.
- Project showcases for things I’ve built with or for AI tooling. I’ve been spending a lot of time in the Model Context Protocol (MCP) space, building servers in Go that give LLMs useful capabilities like fetching web content and querying DuckDB databases. Expect more of that.
- Short hits on tools & resources — the stuff I stumble across that’s actually good and not just another wrapper-around-a-wrapper trying to get acquired.
What This Isn’t
This isn’t a tutorial factory. It’s not a newsletter with growth metrics. There’s no “AI-generated” content (the irony of having to disclaim that on an AI blog is not lost on me). Just notes from someone who builds things and has opinions about the tools he builds them with.
The Stack
Since you’re here, you might care: the site runs on Astro with the AstroPaper theme, a Nord color scheme, and Syne Mono for typography. There’s an RSS feed if that’s your thing. It should be your thing.
Alright, that’s enough preamble. Time to go write something actually useful.
